I can't yet say anything about use of the gps after updating as I just finished.
But I had no problems with buying (got everything same day as ordered) or loading to my gps.
Just that it took 11 hrs to download and I've been up till 3:30 am. Just start doing it in morning if you don't wanna be up all night. But that's my fault. Also old computer could be partly to blame. I did expect it to take some time as per research I did sometime ago.
So far I have nothing but praise for autonavdirect.com

Guys,
I wanted to let everyone know that amazon is the worst to get this lifetime map update from, I got it from them and had an issue with it and could not talk to anyone or get any form of assistance.
My sister told me she bought hers from this site autonavdirect.com and said that the sales rep from autonavdirect was able to asssit her with the purchase and was able to walk her through step by step.
I really wish I would have bought mine from here and wanted to let others know to prevent going through the mess I did with amazon and poor (no) service.
This site has below retail prices and its worth it getting here over sites like amazon.

Guys all I can say is thank you thank you. I bought the garmin lifetime map update email code from them and they got me my code pretty quickly after I replied to the sales invoice as it is required. I was having so issues with the update at garmin site and sales rep John was very nice and was able to walk me through the process. I am 100 positive that I would not have got that support from amazon or any other site.

Amazon was a waste of time for the lifetime update code

I own two garmin units and bought the first unit lifetime map update from amazon and I can not tell you how frusterating it was dealing with amazon. First you can never get ahold of anyone there who knows anything and second the sellers on amazon as third parties which makes it ever more impossible to talk to anyone. I ordered the download code from amazon and it took about a week for them to get me the code.
I found autonavdirect online and saw that they were a garmin authorized dealer so I gave them a try for my other garmin unit.
Ordered the lifetime map update on thursday and replied to the sales invoice as it states to do and had my code the same day.
I normally do not write reviews but I really felt that anyone who is looking for this item should know that autonavdirect is way better to deal with than amazon was. I wish I would have had someone guide me to stay away from amazon and buy my first update here at autonavdirect.com

This was such a great deal, ordered it on tuesday and got it same day. I saved a good amount as garmin charges 119.99 for the same item.

If you are thinking about getting lifetime map update this is the best way to go, Fast and its cheaper to do it this way.

Good service, I def got the code alot faster than what it would have taken to get it mailed to me.
Just make sure yoy reply to the sales invoice to verify your email address and you get your code that way.

I read reviews on other sites like amazon that it took 10 days to get their update card, this is def the best way to do it. By a long shot.

This beats paying for shipping and waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I bought it from autonavdirect as they are garmin dealer and other sites cant compare to this email service.

If you are looking at getting the garmin lifetime map update this is a great service and for autonav to email it to you makes it cheaper and faster.
